Speaking of Christmas and such

Occasionally I find a product that's totally worth promoting. Bibles on DVD is definitely one of these. At first you might think "what's the big deal? I can buy audio CD's and do the same thing." but once you see these things in action and watch your kids reading along, you'll realize the power and value of these DVD's.

The language of the Bible is generally formal, old english. A person who is not used to the language will have difficulty reading it on their own. It would be similar to trying to read Shakespeare for the first time. The grammar rules used back then, although very well defined, have been corrupted over the years to the point where Old English is almost incomprehensible to the average reader. (trust me I'm going somewhere with this.)

However, after listening to an experienced reader reading the King James Bible to you in its Old English style, the language quickly begins to make sense. Not only do you start to understand the old language but also your mind becomes conditioned to read it properly when reading to yourself. Bibles on DVD shows you the words on your TV screen as they are being read by a fantastic narrator, making it easy to understand the subject matter.

Anyway, enough said here. Just click the graphic above and go check it out for yourself. There's even a demo of the book of John that you can view online.
